GOoD Works, along with volunteers from Lake Murray Presbyterian Chruch and others throughout the Chapin community, conducted a four-day blitz in the Chapin area June 23 through June 26. With involvement of 60-80 per day, a total of seven projects were successfully completed. These projects consisted of making needed repairs to the HUB, fixing an unsafe porch, and repairing an addition to a home that had extensive water damage. Also, volunteers replaced a leaky roof on a families’ home, repaired their floors, and provided floor coverings. Other projects included installing underpinning and building a porch on a home that GOoD Works had recently provided for a needy family. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of these volunteers, GOoD Works was able to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
We thank you for donating your time, resources, and assisting in making this week for GOoD Works a great success. Without the constant help and support from our neighbors, GOoD Works would not be able to accomplish its goal of helping the needy in our community. We look forward to more blitz weeks this summer and in the future, and welcome your group, church, or organization to participate as well! Please contact us at 345.2030 or come by the office at 118 Saint Peters Church Road to learn of more volunteer opportunities. God bless!
